Ilka Cassidy received her Diplom Ingenieur degree, equivalent to a Master of Architecture, with honors from RWTH Aachen, Germany. Her native language is German. She won a scholarship to study within the Master program at the University of Washington and worked in Seattle.
Growing up and studying in Germany energy saving construction has always been addressed. With the Passive House standard gaining ground in North America Ilka followed her interest and became a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC). She is a member of PHIUS (Passive House Institute US), PHA-US (Passive House Alliance US) and NYPH (New York Passive House).
